Slab Repair
This is a type of concrete foundation that is supported either by the surface soils or by original builder’s piers. A floating slab constitutes the majority of new residential construction in areas with high-clay soils. The services we provide include:
- Installing press piling system to refusal - more infoPilings are hydraulically driven into the ground perpendicular to the bottom of the grade beam until no more can be driven down
- Testing the sewer system at pre-lift to identify if sewer lines below or adjacent to slab are leaking or not
- Removing landscape as necessary to gain access and returning to its original or better condition
- Pull permits as required per code
Pier & Beam Repair
A pier and beam is a foundation type where wood joists, sitting atop of wood beams. Piers or blocks just below the wood beams offer support to the structure.
The services we provide include:
- Adding solid blocks & bases for additional support
- Adding additional beams to lessen flex of floor
- Remove and replace broken hollow core blocks
- Remove and replace beams, sills, and joists, as needed usually due to rot, insect or water damage. We use only steel shims.
- Add galvanized termite shields per code
- Pull permits as required per code
Tunneling
Tunneling is performed by digging a 3’ x 3’ entrance hole underneath the house as to not interrupt interior floor coverings, normal family life and / or integrity of slab if unknown. Tunnels can be used for both foundation repair and plumbers can repair or replace sewer lines.
The services we provide include:
- Digging an access hole
- Tunnel all footage required to install interior pilings or expose pipes that have been tested to be faulty and in need of replacement.more info - Three types of sewer pipes exist; cast iron, ABS plastic and SCH 40 PVC
- Provide certified back fill letter from engineers

French Drains
This is a perforated pipe installed in a trench to intercept and divert the underground water. The trench is below the level of the intruding water, and it is graded to drain the accumulated water away from the site. Sometimes a catch basin and discharge pump are required if a natural grade does not exist. The services we provide include:
- Digging a trench along side the foundation
- Installing a perforated drainage tile pipe
- Backfill drainage pipe into the trench
- Pull permits as required per code
Root Barrier System
Root growth or re-growth of cut root system presents a serious problem around building foundations, sidewalks, driveways construction areas, parking lots, tennis courts etc. We use a physical barrier system with a 15 year warranty from the manufacturer containing herbicides nodules that don’t allow root cells to divide within 12” of barrier in any direction.
The services we provide include:
- Layout & dig trench
- Create a zone of protection around home, driveway or sidewall
- Redirect growth of roots away from area that poses problem to foundation, sidewalks, driveways, construction areas etc.
- During this process all herbicides used does not have any adverse effect on tree health or soil hydrology
- Pull permits as required per code
